Immigrants coming to NZ

This week,James taught us again to write down where we were born but this time,it was with room 8 and 9.After that,James also wrote down some questions that we need to answer, there was a whole lot of people
that were born in the north island while the other people were born from many other country's!

How far have some students travelled in their lifetime to reach WPS?
I probably travelled really far because I travelled almost 9,000 kilometres!

Why do people make the choice to move to different country's?
People move to different country's maybe because for example
the houses are cheaper, immigration or the country you lived might have war.

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does the media tell us?
Immigration is a trend to NZ because the prices are cheaper and it's a great country to live in!

We also watched an emotional video that we shared and it's about immigrants coming to different country's. and it makes me think if I came to a another country.
Please feel free to comment about how you feel.

The Lie from Untitled Productions on Vimeo.
When I watched the video I felt like I was inspired and it thought me that I didn't want to go to another country but people bully just because of the skin, sometimes the culture its a very emotional video to watch.

Places where Room 7 teacher and students were born.

When James came to Room 7, he shared a document with the whole class. It was about places where everybody was born, and we had to select a member of our family who was born in another country.James also taught us to create a new Google Map and to put places and countries on the map.

I was born in Malaysia while a lot of people were born in the Auckland hospital, but some people were also born from around the country, which is cool. Please feel free to comment.

Mystical Mountain

In term 3 Room 7 had made play dough to make clay and made some mythical creatures.I made a mountain with a colourful range of colours. I used red, black, light grey and dark grey.I also made a spike tree that was half the size of the mountain but with no colours.Later on the weeks we made our backdrops and wrote information about our creature. On the next month. Our clay work went on the art show so family could look at it.We also made qr codes so if you scan it,it will come up information we have written. When I made the mountain it felt exciting, when we were finished, I felt happy to my creation. Please feel free to comment.
